Thanksgiving is now less than two weeks away and some food banks are seeing a bigger demand this year because of the pandemic.
Some food pantries are even in need of help themselves.
So many people are out of work because of the pandemic. And that means more people that need help. This Thanksgiving, several food banks tell KOMO News they really don’t know what to expect
Elijah Jones made a quick stop at Northwest Harvest SODO community market Friday to some fresh produce and staple foods.
“Apples, macaroni, eggs, cereal,” said Jones.
The former fisherman is unemployed and currently living in a tent.
“COVID has put a lot of people out of work,” said Jones.
