Yemeni army and popular committees managed to secure strategic sites in the Western Coast front during large-scale operations against Saudi-led forces who suffer heavy losses.

Al-Mujailis and Al-Mashikhi towns were secured by the Yemeni allied forces, Al-Massirah quoted a Yemeni military source as saying.

During the operations huge losses were inflicted on Saudi-led forces and mercenaries.

“23 Saudi-led forces were killed, 18 were injured, while three others were captured . 7 vehicles were destroyed and developed arms were seized during the operation,” the military source said, according to Al-Massirah.

Dozens of other Saudi-led forces fled the area after they failed to repel the blitz attack of the Yemeni forces.

A Saudi-led commander, identified as Hussein Al-Boukhmi, was killed during Al-Mashikhi operation, according to the source, who noted that Al-Boukhmi was responsible for torturing Yemeni forces captured by the Saudi-led mercenaries.

The operations in the Western Coast to continue, the source said, warning that any escalation by the Saudi-led aggressors will be met by game-changing operations and strategic weapons.

Yemen has been since March 2015 under brutal aggression by Saudi-led Coalition, in a bid to restore control to fugitive president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi who is Riyadh’s ally.

Tens of thousands of people have been killed and injured in the strikes launched by the coalition, with the vast majority of them are civilians.

The coalition, which includes in addition to Saudi Arabiaand UAE: Bahrain, Egypt, Morocco, Jordan, Sudan and Kuwait, has been also imposing a harsh blockade against Yemenis.
