A grocery store in San Jose, California is under investigation after a woman posted pictures on Facebook of two men pushing grocery carts full of raw, uncovered meat through the front door of a store.

‘It was absolutely gross,’ Loretta Seto told the local NBC Station, ‘they were just cut in half, some were kind of flopped over the side so it was touching the handlebars.’

She was at 99 Ranch Market to stock up for a barbecue when she spotted the delivery and whipped out her smart phone and snapped two pictures of Costco carts overflowing with raw meat.

She posted it on her Facebook page noting: ‘I’m usually okay with sticking the kids in the seat of the basket, but this is a whole new level of gross. Beware.’

Her post quickly went viral, with commenters calling out the store for the unsanitary delivery method.

99 Ranch Market told NBC that they were unaware of the situation until they saw Seto’s photos.

A spokesman said the men in the pictures were not store employees, rather they worked for the supplier, Jim’s Farm Meat.

In a statement they said,’the store has immediately removed and discarded their inventory of Jim’s Farm Meat products. We are working with our supplier to insure that such an incident will not occur again.’
