Reeling from the sting of multiple defeats and not willing to learn from the history of her occupations the US seeks to label Iraqi liberation forces “Terror group”

A political commentator believes the United States is trying to make up for its “major loss” in Iraq by labeling the Iraqi resistance movement, Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba, a terrorist organization and to undermine the group’s victories against the Daesh Takfiri terrorists.

“This only comes in line with the same designation of other groups and I think this is very dangerous because it really paves the way for further sanctions or designation of other groups that have worked to eradicate and eliminate the terrorist groups. I also find it very funny how can the US designate a group that was fighting terrorism as a terrorist group,” Hussain al-Mousawy told PressTV in an interview on Saturday.

Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba, which has about 10,000 fighters, is a branch of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces (Hashd al-Sha’abi).

Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces have been on the forefront of the fight against Daesh and played a major role in the liberation of militant-held areas to the south, northeast and north of the Iraqi capital Baghdad.

An Iraqi volunteer military force says it will respect the decisions of the chief commander of the armed forces, including a call to return arms, when the anti-Daesh fight ends.
