Edward Corrigan, an international human rights lawyer from Ontario, says the rise of anti-Muslim hate crimes in Britain has its roots in a campaign supported by Western governments and media.

“There is this campaign to vilify Muslims and Israel is supporting that for the most part,” Corrigan told Press TV on Thursday.

“The trouble is that the governments tend to simplify and oversimplify the situation and they say all Muslims are guilty of this. They don’t differentiate and of course the media rarely covers large Muslim protests against the [Daesh terrorists],” the analyst argued.
