BALTIMORE — A Baltimore woman who collapsed Sunday while in police custody remains in critical condition, police Commissioner Kevin Davis said. Davis said police continue to investigate the circumstances involving the woman’s case, but do not believe that she was abused by the officers.

Police said the woman was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court. Davis said that while the woman and officers waited for a police transport van, she was allowed to go to her home in the 100 block of South Calverton Road to gather personal items.
