Note: This is more Western propaganda. When reading this report out of Western sources you should know that most cruise missiles can be configured to carry nuclear bombs.
To say that Iran just tested a nuclear capable cruise missile is not only to embellish the truth, but it is to outright lie. Dozens of nations have cruise missiles and these missiles could be, if tinkered with, used to deliver a nuclear strike.
Iran Successfully Tests Cruise Missile Able to Carry Nuclear Warheads – Reports
Iran has carried out its first successful test of a cruise missile of Sumar type, capable of carrying nuclear warheads, Die Welt newspaper media reported on Thursday citing a source in German intelligence services.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The missile, launched on January 29, covered some 600 kilometers (370 miles), according to Die Welt, citing its source.The newspaper reported the Sumar-type missiles could carry nuclear warheads and cover the distance from 2,000 to 3,000 kilometers.-
Sumar is a type of long-range surface-to-surface cruise missiles unveiled in 2015, with the design based on the Soviet Kh-55 missiles.
On Wednesday, the Iranian Defense Minister confirmed that Iran carried out a new missile test. He also said that the missile test did not violate the nuclear agreement between Tehran and P5+1 group of world powers or the UN Security Council resolution.
