South Korea, US drills preparation for war with China: Analyst
South Korea and the United States joint naval drills are preparation for war with China and they have nothing to do with North Korea’s provocations, an analyst told Press TV.
“It is clear to everyone who has their eyes open that these exercises are not related to North Korea at all. This is preparation for a confrontation with China just as the Obama administration is on a massive military, nuclear armed military build-up and openly threatening to invade Russia,” said Mike Billington, with the Asia desk at the Executive Intelligence Review.
He also noted the Obama administration is a “mass murdering administration” which is carrying out “illegal wars” around the world, adding that it is ready to go to war with two nuclear armed powers without even thinking about the fate of the human race.
“The President of South Korea who is now capitulated to the Obama war policy with the THAAD missiles and with this massive, massive exercise is totally aware that the THAAD missiles for instance have no use against North Korea, that they are aimed at China and Russia and also is aware that these exercises are not meant to scare North Korea,” he added.
South Korean and US forces have launched large-scale joint naval drills in a show of force against what they call North Korea’s provocations in the restive region.
According to media reports, the drills could feature for the first time rehearsals of targeting North Korean leaders and atomic sites in the event of a nuclear strike by Pyongyang.
Billington went on to say the United States is using North Korea’s crisis the same way it is using the Syria crisis as a “justification” for preparation for war against Russia and China.
The analyst further argued US President Barack Obama must be brought to justice for these crimes in order to prevent a nuclear war launched by this “insane administration”.
