US economic warfare on Argentina: Argentina fails to reach deal with US creditors

Greetings,

argThis is nothing more than imperial hubris. America is waging economic warfare on Argentina for the sake of Great Britain. She knows that Latin America, Africa, and Asia stand united for the return of the occupied Malvinus Islands from colonial Britain.

America is also mad at Argentina for showing independence from her imperial designs. This is nothing but economic warfare to cow Argentina. The world sees it and the world knows it. It is just like America using Western credit agencies to downgrade Russia’s credit worthiness ,because Russia refuses to bow to Western dictates.

arg2This is what is really going on. America is trying to prevent Argentina from joining the BRICS organization. Isn’t it funny that right after Argentina made a public bid to join BRICS to break away from dollar designs, out the blue, US creditors are trying to bankrupt Argentina so that BRICS can dismiss her candidacy?

Think about if other nations called in her debt that she owes them…

Argentina has plunged into its second debt default in 13 years after failing to reach a deal with US creditors. This has now raised concerns about the default impacts on both the financial markets, and the nation’s staggering economy.

No agreement was reached between Argentina and the US holdout investors on Wednesday and the country was drawn into a technical debt default.
While the international markets reactions were highly negative, government officials denied a debt crash.

After a 12-year dispute with the so-called vulture funds, a controversial ruling by US Judge Thomas Griesa which oblige the country to pay a disproportional 1600% profit to the US highly speculative creditors, forced Argentina into a default of its foreign debt. High ranking officials are denying that the country is in cessation of payments.

The government alleged the United States is responsible for the failure of the negotiations and confirmed that will take the case to international courts. In a heartfelt nationwide broadcast, President Cristina Kirchner spoke about the situation. Right after the failure to reach a deal was disclosed, the Argentinean assets both at the domestic and international stock exchanges plummeted and credit agencies downgraded the country´s debt rating.

Accordingly, hundreds of demonstrators and political leaders gathered in front of the Presidential Palace to show their support to the President and endorse her decisions.

The financial extortion by the US vulture funds against Argentina comes amid a deep crisis of skyrocketing inflation and high unemployment rates. Experts believe Argentina´s foreign debt default will seriously undermine the 2014 economic outlook. They also say the default will have profound social consequences for the people.
