Why is it that if you kill someone in self defense the US courts have no sympathy, yet whenever the cops openly and blatantly kill a black man or woman in America, not only does the media justify it, but also the police forces and the courts disregard public testimonials, forensic evidence, and video and audio testimonies to allow killer cops to go free to kill more and more of the people they took an oath to protect and serve?

Can you see the hypocrisy? Can you see the double standards? Can you see the need for change ,because justice is trampled under foot daily?

   NYC man dies after cop puts him in chokehold

An African-American New York resident has died after police officers pinned him to the ground and held him in a chokehold.

The arrest of Eric Garner, a 43-year-old father of six, on Thursday was partially caught on an amateur video, the New York Daily News reported.

The video shows at least four officers bring down the asthmatic man who is begging cops to let him breathe as he helplessly lies on the ground.

Police said that Garner died of a heart attack during the arrest. Garner’s family is now demanding accountability from the New York Police Department.

The NYPD said officers were trying to arrest Garner for allegedly selling untaxed cigarettes. He had been arrested before for the same offense.

In the video, Garner denied the allegations and asked a plainclothes officer why he was stopped.

“Every time you see me you want to mess with me,” Garner told the cops in the video. “I’m tired of it. It stops today!”

When Garner refused to put his hands behind his back, and asked one of the officers not to touch him, two others moved in to make the arrest.

The video shows at least one officer putting Garner in a chokehold and slamming him on the ground. The man then can be heard screaming “I can’t breathe, I can’t breathe!” before going quiet.

Multiple witnesses to the death expressed anger at the NYPD.

“They jumped him and they were choking him. He was foaming at the mouth,” 22-year-old Ramsey Orta, who took the video, told The Daily News. “And that’s it, he was done. The cops were saying, ‘No, he’s OK, he’s OK.’ He wasn’t OK.”

Another witness said Garner was “absolutely not selling cigarettes,” Staten Island Live reported.

The use of chokeholds by officers has been banned since 1993.

Community residents are calling on the police to remove the cop that killed Garner from the force. They are planning a march on Friday.
