The new system will switch from the previous “donor-recipient model” of charity to the corporate-government colonialism. The logic behind that is very simple: the new and improved strategy will guarantee bigger profits for the few and greater suffering and displacement for the many.

In real world it means that small farmers will be put into debt to Monsanto, so they can grow (until they go bankrupt) GMO food crops. Eventually these small farms will become part of even bigger corporation.

Back in 2008 Obama has made several statements regarding the bad influence of the GMO products and the necessity to deal with the problem. Obama’s words back then were: “Let folks know when their food is genetically modified, because Americans have a right to know what they’re buying.”

However, straight after the election, it seems that the President has changed his mind. He put Monsanto people on top of federal agencies.

For instance, at the USDA, the director of the National Institute of Food and Agriculture, Roger Beachyis the former director of the Monsanto Danforth Center.

The same goes to the FDA, the new head of food safety department is Michael Taylor, who is former vice-president for public policy for Monsanto.

Not to forget that Obama’s secretary of state, Hillary Clinton, who once worked for the Rose law firm. That firm was counsel to Monsanto.

Elena Kagan who Obama appointed to the US Supreme Court. Kagan had previously argued for Monsanto in the Monsanto vs Geertson seed case before the Supreme Court.

Obama didn’t just change his mind but he actually appointed all the right people according to his understanding. And now all those people are working in order to support the GMO growth and distribution all over the country and abroad.

Every year Monsanto comes out with new products that contain GMO. Soon the US consumers will be able to see and buy: Monsanto GMO alfalfa, Monsanto GMO sugar beets, Monsanto GMO Bt soybean, Monsanto’s GMO sweet corn, Syngenta GMO corn for ethanol, Syngenta GMO stacked corn, Pioneer GMO soybean, Syngenta GMO Bt cotton, Bayer GMO cotton, ATryn, an anti-clotting agent from the milk of transgenic goats, A GMO papaya strain.

What will come next? GMO salmon? A lot of people already call Barack Obama the most GMO-dedicated politician in America.

If to look at it that way, then the whole campaign of his wife Michelle with gardens and clean, organic, nutritious food looks even more absurd. There is nothing more illogical than the President and his wife doing something completely opposite while saying that they are working on the same goal.
