Make no mistake about what is going on in Mali. The EU is trying to help orchestrate a unified  policy of backing whomsoever will be compliant to Western wishes when it comes to resources, labor, mineral riches, and policies.

They see their stranglehold over the resource rich nation of Mali, and of Africa in general, threatened by the push for real freedom and independence from colonial powers. They are trying to double up on their efforts to entrench themselves in the African/Malian psyche’.
