   She is crazed. Her rabid policies are only sealing her own fate, especially in the Asian Pacific. She is now falling ,because she is wrapped up in an unpayable debt trap that will force her to her own borders in poverty & disgrace.

“The US policy in recent years, in particular Obama’s pivot to Asia policy where he in effect announced that the US was concentrating its military and economic resources on Far East instead of the [Persian] Gulf, is an indication that Washington is looking to contain China’s expansion in the region,” said James Petras, a retired Bartle professor of sociology and author of 65 books.

Petras said US President Barack Obama’s containment policy “is running the risk of alienating China which is the principal creditor of US debt, particularly $2 trillion in treasury notes.”

On Thursday, the US Pacific Fleet announced that an American guided missile cruiser and a Chinese warship “nearly collided” in the South China Sea on December 5.

The incident has raised tensions between the two countries whose relations had already been strained after Beijing announced an air defense zone over the East China Sea last month.

The United States has said it will not recognize the defense zone. The US flew two B-52 bombers over disputed islands in the East China Sea to challenge China’s declaration.

Petras said that tensions may escalate if Washington continues with the same policies.

“The incident… is one indication that Washington’s muscular policy will continue and this is going to create enormous pressure on China to build up its military defenses and that argues for a certain escalation in tensions between the US and China.”
