A Message for Western aggression: (Video)China’s new bomber is ‘not threat’, made for ‘deterrence’

Greetings,

China’s new bomber is ‘not threat’, made for ‘deterrence’

      —

political analyst says China’s new long-range nuclear bombers are not a threat to the US as the Chinese are just trying to “defend” themselves against possible attacks.

“The threat is towards China”, Kim Petersen, co-editor of Dissident Voice said in a phone interview with Press TV on Wednesday.

The United States says it is gravely concerned about China’s new Hongzha-6K bombers that can target previously unreachable US military bases in the Pacific, according to a new report.

“Unlike the case with China, the US is not surrounded by Chinese offshore military bases. There are no Chinese military bases in Canada, in the Caribbean, in Mexico, unlike in Asia, where China’s ringed by US military bases,” said Petersen

“China, unlike the US, does not have an active aircraft carrier,” he added. “So, its ability to reach far offshore targets is hindered by this”.

What China is doing is for “deterrence”. It is simply “stopping itself from being attacked”.

China’s new drone, which resembles the MQ-9 Reaper, can be armed with Hellfire missiles, bombs and other weapons.

“China has had ICBM (intercontinental ballistic missile) capability since at least the early 70s. So, they’ve been able to hit those [US] targets for a long time, it’s nothing new,” Petersen pointed out.

Meanwhile, the United States has planned to conduct more joint military exercises in western Pacific and encircle China with a chain of small air bases and military ports.

China is considering the Pentagon’s focus on the “pivot” to the Asia-Pacific as a strategy to counter China’s increasing global influence.

Beijing says American militarism in the region could endanger peace, urging Washington to abstain from flexing its muscles.
