“Aid to Egypt is actually a disguised aid to Israel because US is essentially paying the Egyptian military junta to do its bidding, and in particular to cooperate with the Zionists and guard the borders of (the) Gaza (Strip) to starve and blockade the people of Gaza,” Barrett said.
Barrett said the US aid is destroying Egypt’s economy because “it creates a giant, parasitic military bureaucracy which now dominates the Egyptian economy.”

“This US aid has created a class of military, bureaucratic parasites who basically own and dominate the whole economy and the nation of Egypt.”
The US gives Egypt 1.3 billion in military aid and about $250 million in economic aid each year.
The White House has refused to call the ouster of the Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi at the hands of the military a coup.
“(US President Barack) Obama has been essentially lying by omission and not calling it (Morsi’s ouster) a coup so the US could continue to lavish this aid on Egypt, destroy Egypt’s economy and democracy.”
