‘US, puppets spilling Syrians’ blood’

GREETINGS,

….” She alone is to be charged with being the cause of the troubled world and people today.

America loves meddling into other people’s affairs. She just cannot stay out of other people’s business, whether they be a two-cents worth soap-box teacher or presidents and kings of countries. “–pg.115(TFOA)

‘US, puppets spilling Syrians’ blood’

The United States for instance, is not that fond of Syrian blood or Syrian people. Nor do we expect from Russia to care about Syrian people. There are interests at the higher level and this is what they care about.”

A prominent political analyst says the West – particularly the US – is inciting violence and sacrificing “Syrian blood” in order to sustain its dominance in the region.

Press TV has conducted an interview with Yahya al-Aridi, political analyst from Damascus, to further discuss the issue.

The following is a transcription of the interview.

Press TV: Yahya al-Aridi, why don’t you tell us why the West is so hysterical, as Russia has stated, in the reaction to its veto in the UN Security Council.

Al-Aridi: Well, it seems that everybody is hysterical. Now, the Syrian people’s territorial integrity and national unity is at stake. And I don’t think that any party of those who are just interfering in the Syrian issue are that fond of Syrian blood. Blood is being shed in Syria and people are being put in a very terrible position.

Now with this toothless resolution that was being planned to pass in the Security Council, and how is was being vetoed, we noticed that those parties who are working against the regime and its actions are going to go to other directions as a result of the misinterpretation of the message being sent through that veto – because it was considered as somewhat of a green light for more pressure, more aggression, more blood.

What we have here before us is the repercussion of all these irresponsible and crazy acts being enacted against Syria and its people. Early on, we said that Syrians themselves should solve their problem in their own hands

But it seems that there are international interests, there is some kind of polarity in this world, and everybody is fighting on the ground of Syria at the expense of Syrian blood and Syrian territorial integrity.

Press TV: Well, I’m surprised to learn about what you mean when you said parties working against the regime are now, perhaps, going to have an incentive based on the UN Security Council to work against the government of President Bashar al-Assad and also levered more when you talk about international interests in Syria.

Of course, we can at the same time, talk about what has been alleged at this point which is arming of these opposition groups. And it’s been alleged again for the United States and Qatar for playing a role in that respect, but also Saudi Arabia to have been alleged in terms of arming the groups.

Al-Aridi: There are about four points in what you have said. First of all, where are those people going to go? They have before them the General Assembly, and if they can get two-thirds of the General Assembly representatives, they can do something which is parallel somehow to what the Security Council might do.

Another thing is to create some sort of a group that the French have called ‘Syria’s friends’.

And a third thing is the continuation of this armament of those who are opposing the regime. So they have different [authorities]. That’s why I said they are toothless.

The resolution that would have been passed would have been a message to calm down parties. Unfortunately, no reasons and craziness have prevailed.

The other thing, when you talk about the parties and international interests, of course historically, very, very few people regionally have been fond of Syrian blood.

Others, the United States for instance, is not that fond of Syrian blood or Syrian people. Nor do we expect from Russia to care about Syrian people. There are interests at the higher level and this is what they care about.

And I want somebody to care about my people, the integrity of my land. This is what the Syrian people are saying.

So, if you want to just make a confrontation with the United States, and you want to limit the power of the United States, don’t make this at the expense of the Syrian blood.

We don’t want this war between them which is costing us very dearly.

Talking about Saudi Arabia and the others, it’s the same actually.

Press TV: Ultimately and quickly, if you can answer this, is this going to be a struggle that the Russian foreign minister, in particular I should just say Russia as a whole, even China, to try to resolve this situation diplomatically against, perhaps, the anger that some of the countries in the UN Security Council feel and, therefore, it would be a clash of that as oppose to having as a focus resolving this Syrian issue, so that any efforts, for example from Russia, be blocked or be resisted by these other countries?

Al-Aridi: The Russians are saying that their foreign minister and the head of their military intelligence are coming tomorrow to Syria. And we don’t know what these two persons are going to do. Are they going to propose a nice or light way of pushing forward the Arab League proposal?

But again, we notice that there is somebody out there that is trying to prepare their interests to be everlasting in this particular area. D@#n their interests when they are at the expense of the Syrian people’s blood.
