America is colder than MARS! East Coast shivers in record deep freeze as the thermometer plunges to -13F with a windchill factor of -100f in parts of New Hampshire leaving experts warning of frostbite in 10 MINUTES

  • Frigid temperatures continue to drop in the wake of a ‘bomb cyclone’ storm, with experts saying that parts of the northeastern United States will have areas colder than the surface of Mars
  • Meteorologists studying weather patterns in the northeast past of the US say that wind chills in one part of New Hampshire were forecast to hit negative 100 degrees
  • East Coasters are dealing with a deadly dip in temperatures just days after a winter storm walloped the region with up to 18 inches of snow
  • Temperatures across the Northeast are in the teens, but will feel below zero in most places with wind chill
  • These dangerously low temperatures are expected to last the weekend
  • The region will begin to thaw early next week, with temperatures expected to return to the more seasonal 30s and 40s
  • It comes just days after Winter Storm Grayson swept through the Northeast, closing schools and business and causing massive flooding in coastal Massachusetts
  • At least seven deaths have been attributed to the storm

The snowstorm that hit the East Coast with frigid, wind-whipped whiteness and ice that wouldn’t melt seems to pick a different bull’s eye target each day, with a wind chill close to minus 100 at the top of New Hampshire’s Mount Washington vying for world’s coldest place with the Canadian town of Armstrong, Ontario.

On Saturday, jaw-clenching temperatures throughout the Northeast hit Burlington, Vermont, at minus 1 and a wind chill of minus 30. Both Philadelphia and New York were shivering at 8 degrees.

And in Hartford, Connecticut, a brutal cold of 10 degrees yielded a wind chill of minus 20. Weather experts say that Mount Washington in New Hampshire could hit -100f with wind chill – colder than the surface of Mars.
