As the Turkish people are suffering the loss of several activists in the Gaza aid attack, Ankara is considering criminal charges against Israel.

In the attack on the Gaza Freedom Flotilla on Monday, Israeli commandoes killed at least 20 of the hundreds of activists who were attempting to deliver 10,000 of tons of supplies to the people of Gaza.

Most victims were from Turkey, as the country was leading the international aid convoy.

A prosecutor in Istanbul had started collecting testimony and evidence from Turks who returned from Israel, the Turkish media said on Friday.

The Muslim nation would consider whether to open a case demanding compensation from Israel or even pursue criminal charges against Israeli leaders.

On Thursday, thousands of people gathered in Istanbul for the funeral of the slain activists.
