The United States has adopted a strategy of fighting with every country in the world, while it is not so powerful to go on with the policy, says a commentator.

“The United States seems at the moment to be in a situation where it is looking to pick fights with absolutely everybody,” including China, Russia, Iran and Turkey, Alexander Mercouris, editor-in-chief of theduran.com, told Press TV on Tuesday.

“However powerful the US is, it is not that powerful that it can afford to do that,” Mercouris said.

The political expert went on to say that there is “a major shift in international relations” because of the United States’ change of global policy and its perception of China as a rival and adversary rather than as a partner.
