United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) prepared a preliminary final statement for the installation of the latest batch of the fifth generation T-50 fighter jets for the airforce.

On June 20th, in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, the eighth jet will be tested, almost completely meeting the requirements of the military, reports the newspaper “Izvestia”.

“In contrast to the previous jets, the eighth aircraft will be fully equipped with equipment and systems outlined in the technical assignment for the creation of the advanced front-line aviation systems. The T-50 is ready for serial production according to the needs of the Russian Air Force,” said a source close to the UCA.

According to the source, there are four T-50’s at the moment in the Komsomolsk-on-Amur aviation plants in different degree of readiness. In September, Jet No. 9 will join the flight system tests. Two, the 10th and 11th, are being built: the first’s fuselage is docked, the second’s wing section is being collected. Both will take part in the stage of test flights until the end of the year. UCA are ready to sign a contract with the Defense Ministry for the supply of fighters jets.

Supply of the jets, according to the commander of the airforce Viktor Bondarev, should start in 2017.
