MOSCOW, June 25 (Sputnik) – Approximately 50 ships from Russia’s Pacific Fleet carried out military exercises that included submarine searches in the Avachinsky Bay on the Kamchatka Peninsula, Eastern Military District spokesman Capt. 1st Rank Roman Martov said Thursday.
“The group <…> conducted a control-reconnaissance search of simulated mines in the waters near the Avachinsky Bay <…> while a marine strike group with destroyers searched for ‘enemy submarines’ in the bay,” Martov told journalists.
