War Talk: Speaker of the Russian State Duma Sergei Naryshkin says “US should be brought to justice for crimes against humanity!”

Greetings,

warcNever did you think politicians of foreign lands to call out America openly and publicly demanding her to be called to account of all of her war crimes and crimes against humanity. Today this is just what is happening. She is being taken to task over her so-called crusade for human rights and her call to bring others(who may have offended her) to justice.

Now the shoe is on the other foot. She is being putted and this is not coming from a tiny or insignificant nation of power. This is coming from her near equal rival, Russia. The Speaker of the Russian State Duma Sergei Naryshkin says the United States should be investigated for the atomic bombings against two Japanese cities during World War II.

You have got to say wow! This is one of the most influential and powerful voices in Russia and the power structure. They are ,by saying this, putting pressure on America and shining light on America’s own graveyard of crimes!

Speaker of the Russian State Duma Sergei Naryshkin says the United States should be investigated for the atomic bombings against two Japanese cities during World War II.

Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, the Russian official compared the 1945 atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki with “Nazi crimes,” and called them “crimes against humanity.”

“I think that we should discuss this topic together with lawyers and international law experts because crimes against humanity have no limitation period,” he was quoted as saying by the Itar-Tass news service.

“As we well know, the bombings of the two peaceful Japanese cities could not be explained from a military point of view,” he said. “The atomic bombings… were solely an intimidation demonstration resulting in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of peaceful residents.”

The remarks were made as relations between Washington and Moscow are growing increasingly frosty over the crisis in Ukraine.

The US and its allies accuse Moscow of sending troops into eastern Ukraine in support of the pro-Russian forces. Russia, however, denies the accusation.

The United States and its Western allies have imposed several rounds of sanctions against Russia following the crisis.

In an interview with Press TV earlier this month, former Senior Foreign Policy Analyst James Jatras said that imposing further sanctions against Russia could turn a Cold War situation between the two countries into a hot war.

“This really runs the risk that what is increasingly a Cold War situation between the United States and Russia could turn into a hot war,” he said.
