Russia is concerned over the fact that NATO may strengthen its positions in the organization’s East European member countries but at the moment Moscow does not have trustworthy information on that score, the head of the Russian President’s administration Sergei Ivanov said.
“There is a certain concern but it is necessary to find out whether this information corresponds to the facts Because there is much talk about it now but it often happens that there is nothing real behind all these words,” he added. “Let’s wait and see,” he said.
In an interview with Reuters earlier Commander-in-Chief of NATO’s Allied Forces, General Philip Breedlove, said that the North Atlantic Treaty Alliance is currently working on a plan providing for the strengthening of its North Eastern allies by April 15.
