Why does the American power structure continue to mistreat their ex-slaves and pretend as if we are citizens of America, enjoying full rights of a free person under the law, when they show us daily that these laws of this land does not apply to us?

 He teaches us that we are free people, yet at every opportunity and chance, he makes sure you are reminded of just how free and equal you are in his eyes and under his laws. He continues to brutalize us with his enforcers of his unjust laws. Why won’t he just let us go , if he truly thinks we are not worthy of his nation?
