Iran’s Armed Forces unveil indigenous smart seeker for pinpoint ballistic missiles and smart composite armor as the country’s latest military achievements.

The two achievements have been designed and manufactured by Iran’s Defense Ministry experts. They were unveiled in the presence of Iran’s Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan, Armed Forces Chief of Staff Major General Hassan Firouzabadi and senior Iranian commanders on Monday.

The smart seeker for ballistic missiles is a guidance system which develops the ability to pinpoint targets more precisely in the sea and ground and will boost the combat capability of Iran’s Armed Forces.

The new missile technology increases the precision and smartness of ballistic missiles and has destruction power and the ability to overcome anti-missile systems.

Iran is now among the very few advanced countries which possesses this state-of-the-art technology used in strategic weapons.

The Iranian Armed Forces also unveiled an indigenous smart composite armor which is built of Shear Thickening Fluid (STF) or liquid armor.

It can resist steel core anti-armor bullets and was built according to international standards.

It decreases the weight of some armor by 76 percent and will increase mobility of the Armed Forces.

In recent years, Iran has made great achievements in its defense sector and attained self-sufficiency in producing essential military equipment and systems.

The Islamic Republic has held several military drills to enhance the defense capabilities of its armed forces and to test modern military tactics and equipment.

Iran has repeatedly said its military might poses no threat to other countries, insisting that its defense doctrine is based on deterrence.
