An S-100 Russian unmanned helicopter has been successfully tested on the Baltic Sea.
A representative of the Defence Industrial Complex reports that the S-100 has made several flights from aboard The Kapitan Sorokin ice-breaker and estimated the ice density.
The drone helicopter is planned to be equipped with an optical system for identifying various objects, measuring the distance between itself and the ice-breaker and carrying out video filming.
The helicopter weighs 200kg, develops the speed of 220km an hour and flies at an altitude of 5,500 metres.
