No one wants them in their nation – Japanese in Okinawa stage protests against US military presence in island

People in Japan’s Okinawa island have once again staged protests against the US military presence. The protesters said the presence of US troops is a preparation for military action.

They called on US and Japanese leaders to stop tension in the region. Calls for US troop withdrawal have grown following the rape and murder of a Japanese woman by a former US marine.
