(Video) Japan should end US occupation in Okinawa: Author

After the Second World War, Japan remains “an occupied country” as the US maintains its heavy military presence on the island, says an author.

“The people [of Okinawa] have been devastated by it [US military base], the pollution, the noise, raping of women committed by US servicemen and none of these have been resolved and it has been going like this since 1945,” Stephen Lendman, author and journalist, told Press TV on Thursday.

“They [people of Japan] should call for a total elimination of America’s occupation and all US military bases should close down,” he added.
