The flagship of the Pacific fleet, the guards missile cruiser “Varyag” arrived in South Korean port Busan before the American aircraft carrier Carl Winson, suddenly diverted to Korea from a course to Australia.

The arrival of Russian ships was announced by Korean navy. Cruiser “Varyag” and a mid-range sea tanker “Pechenga” arrived in Busan with a friendly visit to carry out a series of joint exercises between Russian and Korean seamen, and to discuss plans for further cooperation. The ships will stay in Busan until April 14, and then continue long-distance ocean voyage to seven foreign ports.
