White sand beaches, warm waters and lots of snow are on deck in Hawaii. Anticipating six to 10 inches of snow, the National Weather Service issued a blizzard warning for Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea on the Big Island.
Gusts of up to 65 mph are also possible, as is the rare phenomenon of thundersnow, when a snowstorm is accompanied by thunder and lightning. The warning is in effect until Thursday morning.
